Best Chocolate Protein Shake

healthy chocolate shakeThis has to be one of my favourite shakes of all time! Its super simple, but packs a protein punch. It is great as an on the move breakfast, afternoon pick me up or as an after training nourishment.

Equipment: Blender or hand blender

Ingredients per person:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tsp raw cocoa
  • 1 tsp tahini paste
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp maca powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey (or a vegan sweetener)
  • 400ml of milk, my favourites are Coconut or Almond
  • 2 cubes of ice

Method:

Add everything to your blender and blend until smooth, about 30 seconds. Drink right away.

Apart from tasting AMAZING! Its also super healthy. Raw cocoa contains a rich supply of antioxidants, Tahini is packed with a range of B vitamins, essential fatty acids and manganese which are essential to good brain and nervous system function and health.
